SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — Three Scranton schools will dismiss at their normal times Thursday, but police activity will prevent parents and students from accessing part of Luzerne Street.
The Scranton School District said West Scranton High School remains in secure status because of police activity near the school that is unrelated to the district.
The district said all students are safe.
West Scranton High School, West Intermediate and Frances Willard Elementary School will dismiss at their normal times.
However, parents and students will not be able to access the 1100 block of Luzerne Street because of the ongoing police presence.
The district has not provided details about the nature of the police activity.
