SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — A Northampton County man has been sentenced to five years in federal prison after investigators found more than 10,000 images and videos of child sexual abuse material on his electronic devices.
Wei Fu, 40, of Easton, was sentenced Thursday by Senior U.S. District Judge Malachy E. Mannion to 60 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
Fu was sentenced for possession of child pornography.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, investigators searched Fu’s Easton home in March 2024.
Federal prosecutors said more than 10,000 videos and images were discovered on his electronic devices. Some depicted the sexual abuse of infants and toddlers.
The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, Bethlehem Township Police and the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.
