Matty Pisarcik shot a 4-under-par 29 with five birdies to lead Lakeland (133) past Blue Ridge (160) and Elk Lake (172) in a Lackawanna League Division II golf match Wednesday at Scott Green Golf Club.

Pisarcik, who had birdies on Nos. 1, 2, 5, 7 and 9, became the first Lakeland golfer to break 30 since stroke play was implemented in league matches.

Brenan Pantzar shot even-par 33 and had three birdies (2, 6,9) while teammates Aiden Babarsky (6, 7) and Ty Sokoloski (1, 9) had a pair of birdies for the Chiefs.

Jax Decker had a 38 to lead Blue Ridge while Parker Stone, who shot 38, and Cooper Sipe had birdies on No. 7 for Elk Lake.

Jackson Bohanski had two birdies (2, 7) while Josh Toolan (2) and Brandon Moran had birdies for the Crusaders.

Abington Heights’ Liz George shot 2-under-par 34, breaking her own record and previous girls low round at Glen Oak Country Club in a 114-140 win over North Pocono on Wednesday in a Lackawanna League girls match.

George birdied Nos. 1 and 8 in topping her old mark by two strokes. Brianna Moffat and Molly Nietz birdied No. 8 for the Lady Comets.

Julia Bilko, who birdied No. 6, led North Pocono with a 38.
