EMMAUS, Pa. – One of the top field hockey programs in the nation is back to work in Emmaus as the Hornets seek their 17th state title and 38th consecutive District 11 title.
Longtime head coach Sue Butz-Stavin has a reloaded roster and a standard the players desire to upkeep.
“Keeping the tradition of excellence going. That’s what it is. We’re playing for something bigger than ourselves and that’s what’s amazing about it,” senior goalie Emily Romano said. “We all have the grit, we all have the motivation and that helps each other. Communicating, or just respecting each other, that’s why we all keep coming back.”
