Erie MetroParks recently announced that Osborn MetroPark in Huron will again play host to the Osborn Fall Fest, as it seeks to build on past years’ successes and provide the public with fun entertainment and activities centered around fall.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 19 at Osborn MetroPark, 3910 Perkins Ave., according to a news release. Prior to the event, there will be a free 5K walk/run at 9 a.m.
The Erie Metro Live Steamers also will be hosting train rides at The Community Foundation Preserve at Eagle Point from 1 to 5 p.m.

There will be pumpkin painting with the Friends of Erie MetroParks, hayrides, a kid’s pedal pull and tractor displays by the Firelands Pioneer Power Association and a DJ. There will also be face painting, a bounce house, archery and BB gun range with Ohio Department of Natural Resources, a photo booth with Rock & Roll Express Entertainment, a rock-climbing wall by Huron Cub Scout Pack 31, and more.
All activities are free.
There will also be various craft and activity stations, live animals, a Birds of Prey exhibit by Back to the Wild and more. Erie MetroParks will also be giving away various items while supplies last, the release stated.
Several other organizations will also be giving away goods and offering free activities throughout the day.
There will also be food to purchase from MacaRonnie’s, The Gaucho & the Gringa, Gram’s Goodies, Gesswho Tacos, Fizz & Twist, Kona Ice of Lake Erie Shores & Islands, Mac n’ Weenies and more. There will also be shopping options from Buzzy’s Sweet Treats, Stein’s Honey, Green Dragon Crochet, Just “Bead” It by Rebecca, Mr. Barkey’s Pet Boutique, The Creative Fox, Sweet P Designs, and more.
There will also be several local organizations showcasing what they do for the community and offering activities, the release stated.
Organizations attending are the Huron Public Library, VacationLand Federal Credit Union, Erie Conservation District, Sandusky Library, Sandusky Radio Experimental League, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Cub Scout Pack 236, Erie County Master Gardeners, Erie County Chapter of Ohio Horseman’s Council, Huron Cub Scout 31, and more.
