Hospitals in the Windsor area are warning of delays Saturday morning as a result of computer issues — but it’s not the result of a cyber security incident, they say.
Windsor Regional Hospital posted the warning on social media Saturday morning, as did Erie Shores Healthcare.
Delays are attributed to a “computer system malfunction,” the hospitals said.
“This is causing additional delays in processing for patient care, including diagnostic imaging,” the statement read.
“Please be patient with us as our IT teams work to resolve the issues.”
Windsor Regional Hospital’s emergency wait times webpage listed average wait times of around three hours at both its Metropolitan and Ouellette campuses Saturday afternoon.
