SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — A Scranton man is facing felony charges following an investigation into the alleged abuse of two young children.
Scranton Police say detectives with the department’s Special Victims Unit began investigating on August 24 after receiving a report of an incident in the 500 block of Cherry Street in South Scranton.
Police say the investigation involved allegations of child endangerment and simple assault.
As a result of the investigation, 30-year-old Jose Leon of Scranton was taken into custody.
Leon is charged with two felony counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two misdemeanor counts of simple assault.
Police did not release the ages of the children or additional details about the alleged abuse.
