Eliana Rogari had 25 digs, including her career 500th, in a 3-0 win over Western Wayne in a nonleague girls volleyball match on Saturday.

Adeline Biondo had 16 service points and 13 kills, Meadow Biamonte added 16 service points and six kills, and Jada Chavies contributed four service points and 25 digs for Lakeland.

Olivia Haines had 11 kills, Skyla McGuire had seven kills, and Olivia Black had four aces to pace Western Wayne.

Valley View 3, Mountain View 0: Layla Marino had six aces, three digs, and two kills to lead the Cougars to a 25-13. 25-17, 25-18 win in a nonleague match on Saturday.

Maggie Hallett added 11 assists and five aces, and Monica Orellano had six digs and five aces for Valley View.

Aubrey Sanders paced Mountain View with 10 assists and two kills. Karley Norton had four kills, three aces, and four digs and Addison Tompkins had three kills and three digs.

Cross country

At Bethlehem, West Scranton junior Seamus Wallace, Holy Cross boys and Abington Heights girls were winners at the Moravian Academy Lions Invitational on Saturday.

Wallace was the individual winner in the varsity boys race in 16 minutes, 16 seconds. That was 30 seconds ahead of second-place Luke Lotierzo from Nazareth. With Wallace leading the way, West Scranton was seventh in the Class 3A team standings with 170 points.

Holy Cross finished first in the Class 1A team standings with 30 points. Thomas Gavin led the Crusaders, placing ninth in 17:13. Elias Stabinski was 16th in 17:34.

Abington Heights boys took third in the Class 3A team standings with 78 points. Joe Grad was the top finisher for the Comets in 14th in 17:24. Nickolai Sutton was 24th in 18:14, Owen Scharle 28th in 18:22 and Noa Thomas 30th in 18:23.

In varsity girls, Abington Heights placed its first five runners in the top 17 to take the Class 3A team title with 46 points. Morgan Kresge was fifth in 20:07 for the Lady Comets followed by Marley Gilboy (sixth, 20:13), Calli Gilboy (eighth, 20:45), Addisyn Mummert (15th, 21:30) and Giada Lovecchio (17th, 21:34).

West Scranton was ninth in the Class 3A team standings with 240 points. Violetta O’Hora was top finisher for the Lady Invaders in 82nd in 25:57.

Gemma Bistran of Holy Cross placed 12th in 21:05, helping the Lady Crusaders wind up second in the Class 1A team standings with 44 points.

Girls tennis

Coral Kelly won No. 1 singles, and the doubles teams of Kesley O’Shea-Elena Anderson and Delilah Minor-Ireland Wynn had wins as Valley View defeated Riverside, 3-2, on Saturday in a nonleague match.

At Mid Valley, Gwen Mazur netted a hat trick in the second half as the host Spartanettes pulled away from Honesdale for a 7-1 nonleague win Saturday.

Adyson Zabriski and Madison Baltrusaitis added two goals apiece for Mid Valley, which scored six unanswered goals to break a 1-1 tie.

Alyssa Best scored in the third quarter to tie it for the Lady Rangers.
