Western PA: Heat and storm chances to start September
A shower or two could sneak in from the north Sunday night.

An enjoyable weekend is in store for western Pennsylvania with sunshine and comfortably warm conditions. A more summer-like feeling is waiting in early September. We are talking heat and humidity.
Shower chance Sunday
The only questions for the weekend are where does high pressure position itself and could showers sneak in Sunday? We’ll have to see if high pressure is strong enough to keep decaying thunderstorm complexes to our north. If not, we may see a few showers late Sunday and on Monday. Again, the greater majority of the weekend and the area is looking good.
Stray showers could drift south Sunday night. Areas near I-80 could catch a few raindrops.
Late season heat and humidity
Summer isn’t over yet. The 90s return for the start of September along with higher humidity. Feels like temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday will push into the mid 90s. Better storm chances are on tap for Thursday.
