Power being restored after car collides with utility pole in Allegheny County
PENN HILLS MUNICIPALITY, Pa. —
Power outages were reported early Sunday morning after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole in Allegheny County.
Penn Hills No.7 VFC said in a post on Facebook that crews were called to the intersection of Frankstown Road and Texas Street after 3 a.m., following reports of a single vehicle involved in a rollover crash.
Authorities on scene found a single vehicle that had crashed into a utility pole. The vehicle had come to a stop on its side at the intersection of Fransktown Road and Eymard Street in Pittsburgh, the post said.
“Responders dealt with additional hazards of multiple energized wires at the accident scene,” the post said.
Dispatchers told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that no injuries were reported.
Duquesne Light was on the scene making repairs. At 5 a.m., more than 200 customers were left without power.
The post said Frankstown Road between Eastwood & Woods roads was closed for some time as crews worked to clear the damage.
Officials said restorations should be complete by 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
