A national nonprofit is teaming up with the Lehigh Valley community for a cure, one step at a time.
The first-ever “Steps for a Cure” community walk was hosted in partnership with Project Purple– a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting the disease.
Survivors, family, friends, and supporters gathered for a three-mile walk at Lehigh Parkway, all for one goal– creating a world without pancreatic cancer.
“Pancreatic cancer doesn’t discriminate, and it’s just awesome when you can bring people that don’t even know each other, but be here for this purpose of finding a cure for this awful disease,” Dino Verrelli, founder and CEO of Project Purple.
