Downtown Scranton was bustling with students as the week began.
It’s the first day of classes at the University of Scranton. Newswatch 16 found students out early Monday morning heading to class to further their education.
A spokesman for the university says there are about 920 freshmen in the class of 2030 and more than 45 incoming undergraduate transfer students. The most popular major is nursing, followed by finance, kinesiology, occupational therapy and biology.
The University of Scranton has students from 17 states, and six countries.
