A family was forced out of their home after a fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Allentown Fire Department.
Firefighters and other first responders were called to a home on the 1900 block of Livingston Street in Allentown around 2:13 p.m. on Aug. 25, officials said.
When the firefighters got to the scene, they said they found the fire burning at the back of the house and it was spreading quickly.
Crews with PPL had to be called because of arcing wires, officials explained.
The fire was brought under control after 2:20 p.m.
Three adults, four children and their pets have been displaced because of the fire, officials said. They are being helped by the Pennsylvania Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross.
The Allentown Fire Marshall is investigating.
