Exhibit at Pennsylvania Capitol honors Flight 93 victims
An exhibit honoring the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks is now on display in the East Wing Rotunda of the Pennsylvania State Capitol.
The exhibit features items from the National Park Service and the Flight 93 Memorial, including silverware, pieces of plane wreckage, name badges from investigators, and tributes from family members and visitors to the site.
“These were real people, and we have the artifacts here to show how detrimental the crash really was. The spoons and silverware we have on display are things that flew out of the plane and into trees,” outreach archivist for the House of Representatives, Taylor Mason, said.
The exhibit will remain open until Oct. 27.
The State Capitol Complex is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
