Izzy Ciavarella recorded a hat trick with three goals to lead Hazleton Area past Scranton Prep, 4-2, in non-league girls’ soccer on Monday.

Althea Ulanoski scored the Lady Cougars’ other goal.

Hansher and Palazzari knocked in goals for Scranton Prep.

Lehighton 3, Tamaqua 2

Taylor Moyer scored the tie-breaking goal at the 27:59 mark of the second half in Lehighton’s non-league win.

Hailey Wehr’s goal gave the Indians an early 1-0 lead, before goals by Bailey Pliska and Avery Muffley put the Lady Raiders on top. However, Claire Bridy and Moyer answered for Lehghton and its defense held on the rest of the way.

Sophia Paton added five kills and 14 service points with six aces; Danika Blazosky checked in with three kills, five assists and three service points; and Jovie Breiner and Madelien Schirer contributed seven and six service points, respectively.

PV won the junior varsity match , 2-0 (25-15, 26-24).

The Lions breezed in straight sets, winning 25-10, 25-6, 25-18.

Mikayla Kuntz led the Lady Wreckers with three digs and one ace; Jillian Esposito helped with two digs and two aces; and Elsie Gower had one dig and one ace.

LLA was a 2-0 winner in the JV match.(25-13, 25-15).

Gabrielle Serock (12), Riley Mason (10) and Marlow Basalyga (nine) combined for 31 service points to lead the Lady Preppers. Each player served two aces.

Basalyga also contributed four kills, two assists and two digs; Mason had three kills, one assist and two digs; and Serock added eight assists and one dig.
