An Erie woman is crying out for help after she said a man has been harassing her family for three years and remains on the loose.
On Monday, that man allegedly recorded himself in the act. In the video, he appeared to be holding a butcher knife while threatening to take her daughter’s life.
After seeing his videos online, a family friend called Lucille Harden. Upon seeing the video, Harden was afraid that the man would act out his threats and kill her daughter.
She does not know why they are being targeted. “Everybody just kept saying it’s because he’s insane, but if he’s so insane, how do you allow an insane person to threaten people: that he’s going to literally tell them that he’s going to kill them,” she said, expressing her frustration.

Harden told us her neighbor, who works in law enforcement, parked in front of her daughter’s house to deter the man from returning, but it didn’t work.
After the man allegedly busted her windows out with a brick, Harden’s daughter called Erie police, fearing he wouldn’t stop there. Deputy Chief Ken Kensill explained what the scene was like when they arrived.
“The male was still on the scene when we responded. At the time we were there, the officers spoke with him and determined that they were going to charge him through the mail with criminal mischief for throwing the brick through the window, but there were no weapons observed or found while they were interviewing,” he said.
Despite the man’s pending charges, Harden doesn’t believe it’s enough to stop him. She explained this wasn’t the first time he’d broken one of her windows. The last time, her young grandchildren were on the other side of it. “He broke her windows out a month ago- a month ago. And that’s what I’m saying, I kept telling them, what if that glass had hit them, the glass splatters everywhere, and just thank God it didn’t.”

“You have to take a person for his word, if he stands there and tells you he’s going to kill you, what would you say?” Harden said. According to police, in situations like this one, the man would need to be ordered by the court to avoid her property.
In the meantime, Harden’s family fears the man will return with more than threats.
