SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Three days remain until downtown Scranton becomes the place to be for the 50th annual La Festa Italiana.
On Tuesday, 28/22 News cameras spotted crews putting up more tents around Courthouse Square that will soon house many businesses and vendors. Workers spent all morning and afternoon covering the tent poles so you can get your Italian food fix rain or shine.
Scranton Police Department posted a traffic advisory for the festivities.
Pittston City to acquire Twp. land for new housing
After 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sep. 1, there will be limited lanes of travel around the square.
At 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sep. 3, the 400 block of Linden Street will be closed.
By 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Sep. 4, traffic patterns downtown will change with street closures surrounding Courthouse Square.
The festivities kick off at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sep. 4.
