Campbellsville shut out Bethlehem 2-0 in the 5th Region All “A” Classic championship match on Saturday, Aug. 29 at Paul J. Coop Gymnasium.
Winning on its home court, Campbellsville beat Bethlehem in back-to-back games, winning 25-23, 25-22.
Campbellsville blanked Washington County 2-0 in the semifinals of the 5th Region All “A” Classic on Saturday, Aug. 29. The Lady Eagles defeated the Commanderettes 27-25, 25-23.
Head coach Contessa Harley guided Campbellsville to the 5th Region All “A” Classic championship.
Karsyn Smith, Keiava Thompson, Lainey Price. Aubreigh Knifley, Aminah Lishman, Kaylee Thompson, Mae Miller and Isabella Brunelle each contributed for Campbellsville during its run to the All “A” region title.
Smith, Price and Keiava Thompson were named to the 5th Region All “A” Classic All-Tournament Team.
Adding the tournament victories, the CHS volleyball team has an 8-0 overall record.
The team was scheduled to play Cumberland County (2-4) on Tuesday night. The next home game is at 7 p.m. Thursday night against Adair County (6-4) before facing Taylor County at home at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 8.
