ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Next Friday marks 25 years since the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks.
Ahead of the anniversary, forensic experts gathered in Allentown Wednesday to talk about the scope of the response that day and the complex investigation that followed.
A forensic symposium was held at Cedar Crest College.
Presenters gave first-hand accounts of the challenges they faced at the World Trade Center and how their work still isn’t finished.
The head of the school’s forensic science program explained why it’s important for his students to hear those stories.
“It’s important for them to see the work that was done because one day, not that I’m hoping this for them, but they may be brought into a situation where they are going to be facing what you may be perceiving as the impossible,” said Larry Quarino.
Nearly 3,000 people were killed in the Sept. 11th attacks. Most of those were in New York City.
