This will be a light weekend for changes in ongoing road projects. Here are the details.
Parkway West — Two ramps between the highway and Interstate 79 will be closed overnight beginning Friday and continuing through Nov. 25. On Fridays through Sundays, the ramp from inbound Parkway West to northbound I-79 and the ramp from southbound I-79 to outbound Parkway West will be closed from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. On weekdays, the ramps will be closed from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closures will allow crews to install anti-icing systems as part of a $12.6 million project on the Parkway West between the Ridge Road and I-79 interchanges.
Route 28 — Overnight sealing and line painting will continue southbound on Route 28 between the Millvale and the Interstate 579/Interstate 279/Veterans Bridge/Fort Pitt Bridge interchanges on Sunday through Friday nights through mid-November. The work will take place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Interstate 279 — The ramp from the southbound highway to the Fort Duquesne bridge will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday for deck and barrier repairs. Detours will be posted. The work is part of a $3.9 million project to upgrade the end of the bridge on Pittsburgh’s North Side.
