More rounds of thunderstorms threaten south-central Pennsylvania
Two rounds of scattered thunderstorms are expected in south-central Pennsylvania on Wednesday and Thursday, potentially producing damaging winds, heavy rain and flash flooding.
The WGAL News 8 Storm Team has upgraded Wednesday to an Alert Day, meaning there is a chance for potentially life-threatening weather.

More storms are expected on Thursday before a cold front approaches Pennsylvania.
TIMING: Scattered thunderstorms are possible from the morning into the evening hours. The highest chance for storms is between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.
SEVERE WEATHER RISK: Areas from Harrisburg to Lancaster, and points to the west and southwest are under a slight risk (level 2/5) for severe storms, while areas to the east and northeast of Harrisburg are under a marginal risk (level 1/5) for severe storms on Thursday.

Heat advisory
The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for all of south-central Pennsylvania from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Temperatures will reach the 90s, with heat index values near 100 degrees increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses.
Residents should stay hydrated and cool, limit strenuous outdoor activity, check on vulnerable people, recognize signs of heat illness, and never leave children, pets, or people with disabilities in vehicles.
Looking ahead: Conditions improve for the weekend
Friday will remain humid with highs in the low to mid-80s and a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms as a cold front moves through.
Humidity will drop Saturday, with highs in the low 80s. Sunday and Labor Day will be pleasant and comfortable, with low humidity and highs near 80 to the low 80s.
