Police Chief Rick Lorah said the money will help the department replace and upgrade outdated computer equipment, technology officers rely on every day to do their jobs.
Chief Lorah said federal funding like this helps police departments keep their equipment up-to-date.

The grant will now move forward for a second reading for final passage.
