Week 1 was a high-scoring one for four Eastern Pennsylvania Conference football teams who scored 41 points or more, but there was hardly an offensive explosion across the board as three teams were shut out and six scored 13 points or less.

The scoring leaders were Freedom and East Stroudsburg South who scored 51 and 50 points, respectively.

On defense, Allen, Pocono Mountain East and Pocono Mountain West all both posted shutouts and four others allowed seven points or less.

In terms of individuals, the EPC had five rushers who had 100 yards or more and five quarterbacks who threw for 200 yards or more. One receiver collected more than 200 yards in receptions — Bethlehem Catholic’s Carter Vassa.
