MACUNGIE, Pa. – An event happening this weekend in Lehigh County is all about celebrating creativity and supporting small businesses, just in time to start the gift-giving season.

69 News Reporter Sydney Kay joined 69 News at Sunrise Friday morning from Macungie with a sneak peek at some of the handmade treasures you can find – all made by local shops.

70 vendors will be taking part at the Fall Vendor Craft Fair, which will take place at Macungie Memorial Park, at 50 South Poplar Street. It runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Fit with Sherry Founder and festival organizer Sherry Ann Raimundo said it all started when she had heard of a backyard vendor fair. The idea gave her a passion for small businesses, and a desire to make them grow.

Raimundo said there will be a basket raffle.

Jacki Kutzler, with Park Lane Jewelry, says she is selling necklaces, bracelets, and earrings at the event. She said she loves supporting small businesses. She said she does events in the region on weekends.

Carol Moyer, owner of Bedazzled by Carol, said she does diamond art. She said she spends at least 25 hours a week making her items.Â
