BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The school year is starting off with a bit more color at a Bethlehem elementary school.
Lincoln Elementary hosted an open house and back-to-school picnic on Thursday. They also unveiled a brand new mural.
The design came from a fourth-grade student, Toby, who was selected during an art contest with other students.
Dripped On Productions took his idea and brought it to life with the new mural.
“It’s going to brighten up Lincoln, it’s going to bring joy to the Lincoln family, and it’s certainly…it’s a way to enhance our school community,” said Daniel Garcia, principal.
Lincoln is also celebrating its new Safe Routes to School initiative by unveiling a new bike rack.
The principal says they’re looking around for ways to enhance safety around the school.
