The Philadelphia Union are finalizing a club-record deal to sign Ghanaian youth international forward Ezekiel Alladoh from Swedish club Brommapojkarna, sources briefed on the deal have told The Athletic.
The Union will pay a fee in the region of $4.5 million and Alladoh will hit the roster via the U-22 initiative, sources added. FotbollSkanalen first reported the deal was close. Alladoh will join in January ahead of the 2026 season.
Alladoh, 20, has scored seven goals in just over 2,000 minutes in the Swedish top flight this season. The talented forward is a big, physical presence that the club believes will continue developing in Philly.
Alladoh stylistically fits in the Union’s high-pressing, transition system played under freshly crowned MLS Coach of the Year Bradley Carnell.
The Union just won the Supporters’ Shield and advanced in their round one playoff series against the Chicago Fire. They are awaiting the winner of Charlotte FC and NYCFC in the conference semifinal.
Alladoh joins an attacking unit that includes previous club-record signing Bruno Damiani. There may be further change.
Israel international Tai Baribo had his best season in MLS (16 regular season goals) and could be subject of interest elsewhere, while Mikael Uhre’s contract expires this winter. The club also added Milan Iloski this summer, who is a natural center forward, but has mostly featured in an attacking midfield role.
