An incident involving a student and a staff member at Marvine Elementary School is under investigation, according to the Bethlehem Area School District.
Superintendent Renato Lajara said in a notice to families that the district is aware of the incident, and it has been reported to appropriate authorities. Additionally, the district has started its own investigation into the incident. The nature of the incident was not disclosed.
Lajara said Friday that additional information on the incident cannot be released because it involved a student and a personnel investigation. He said the district is committed to protecting the student’s privacy while ensuring the matter is addressed.
“The safety, dignity, and well-being of every student remain our highest priorities. We will continue to cooperate fully with the appropriate authorities and take any necessary action based on the findings of the investigation,” he said.
