Motorists who use Route 378 between Route 22 and the Hill to Hill Bridge in Bethlehem will have to endure some necessary construction for the next couple of months.
PennDOT District 5 said that it will begin a resurfacing project on Tuesday and last through November.
The project involves milling and paving, concrete patching, base repairs, joint repairs, bridge deck repairs and overlay, guide rail upgrades, and new pavement marking along the Route 378 freeway and the ramps at the interchanges with Catasauqua Road, Eighth Avenue and the Center City exit.
Lane restrictions are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, and last until 6 a.m. Those hours will be used throughout the duration on Sundays through Thursdays.
After November, the project will resume in the spring.
PennDOT said additional information about traffic restrictions will be announced when available.
