ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A first-ever drone show will illuminate the skies of Allentown during New Year’s Eve festivities.
This year’s New Year’s Eve Celebration will debut an all-new drone show high above 7th and Hamilton Streets, according to a news release from the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Hundreds of drones will take flight in a custom-designed show by StarFlight Drone Shows at midnight, the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce says.
The celebration will again feature the world’s largest puck drop, presented by the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, according to the news release.
The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce says the free outdoor celebration kicks off at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, with local favorites DJ Menace, DJ Meltdown, and DJ Express.
According to the news release, downtown restaurants and venues will host special dinners, live entertainment, and champagne toasts throughout the night.
The Downtown Allentown New Year’s Eve Celebration is free and open to the public.
7th Street, between Linden and Walnut Streets, will be closed until 1 a.m. for the festivities.
The Allentown Chamber of Commerce and Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Allentown and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, will host the event.

10:00 p.m. Entertainment from local DJs until 1:00 a.m.
12:00 – 12:10 a.m. Drone display, Countdown to midnight, and World’s Largest Puck Drop
12:10 – 1:00 a.m. Continuation of Entertainment from the local DJ lineup
