America 250: We the People opens at the Everhart Museum in Scranton from Wednesday, June 17, 2026, through Sunday, June 21, 2026, with gallery hours from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Wednesday through Sunday.
Presented in celebration of America’s 250th birthday, the exhibition explores the nation’s founding, formation and development through historic artifacts and artwork. Visitors can view original flags, clothing, weapons, paintings and prints spanning from the American Revolutionary War Era to the present day.
The exhibition also highlights the impact of Sullivan’s March through Northeastern Pennsylvania and features replicas of Colonial Williamsburg alongside reproduction Revolutionary War weapons and clothing.
Artwork by local master John Willard Raught is featured alongside pieces by Robert Indiana, Ed Ruscha, N.C. Wyeth and Jacob Lawrence, among others.
The museum is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, with special openings on Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day.
