Upper Darby alum nominated for a Grammy

Upper Darby School District alum Immanuel Wilkins was nominated Friday for a Grammy in the Best Alternative Jazz Album category for “Blues Blood.”

Wilkins, 28, had previously been honored nearly five years ago when his album “Omega,” captured the No. 1 ranking for the Best Jazz Albums of 2020 by The New York Times. More background about Wilkins is in this Daily Times article from nearly five years ago.

The Grammy Awards will be held Sunday, Feb. 1 and broadcast on CBS.
