ALLENTOWN, Pa. – At the Allentown Fair, everyone has favorites. From rides:
“[The swings are] fun because it’s not like normal swings. You get to go this way instead of that way,” said Addison, a kid enjoying the fair.
To food:
“A corn dog and French fries,” said Clara.
And games:
“This is like an old-fashioned fair. Like, I have never seen anyone win a goldfish before; that was crazy,” said Quinn.
For two hours on Friday afternoon, the fair was a place for everyone.
A place where people who don’t like loud noises or bright lights could experience all the fair has to offer. To make memories and have the chance to develop their own fair favorites.
“It allows someone who may not come to the fair the opportunity to come to the fair and experience the midway and come out and have a good time,” said Joseph Zutter of Powers & Thomas Midway Entertainment
Inclusive Day at the Allentown Fair was so popular in 2025 that organizers brought it back this year.
“It just is something that has picked up and taken off the last couple of years,” Zutter said.
The success of the event goes to show that dimming the noise and lights, sometimes, allows other people to shine.
“Everyone should get privileged the same way everyone else does, so if there are bright flashing lights and people don’t like it, they will probably leave and won’t get to stay. I don’t think that is fair that they won’t get to stay,” said local kid Ella.
