YORK, Co., Pa. – A tractor trailer leaking phosphoric acid has caused a section of Route 83 to be shutdown.
Pennsylvania State Police say the hazmat incident involving the corrosive liquid occurred Friday at approximately 7:16 p.m. on southbound I-83 in Newberry Township, York County.
Due to the nature of the liquid, I-83 is shut down north and southbound between exits 28 and 32.
York County Hazmat and PennDot are on scene assisting in this incident.
