Carson Kinniard and the Bardstown boys’ soccer team picked up a pivotal 19th District win Thursday night.
Kinniard had a goal and an assist as the visiting Tigers topped crosstown rival Nelson County 3-1 on a blistering hot evening.
Ryder Roby and Saul Hinestroza also scored as Bardstown improved to 5-3-1 overall and 3-0 in the district.
Ivy Poynter and William Thomas each had an assist for the Tigers, who won for the fourth time in their last five games.
Daniel Stark scored the Cardinals’ goal off an assist from Blake Vowels.
Nelson County goalie Easton Curtsinger stopped eight of the 11 shots on goal he faced from Bardstown.
The Tigers, who hosted 5th Region rival LaRue County Saturday, plays at Woodford County at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Cardinals (5-4 overall, 1-1 district) play at Henry County at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Bardstown 2, Bethlehem 1
Naru Sugie and Roby each scored once, lifting the visiting Tigers to a one-goal victory over the Eagles Tuesday night at Five Star Field.
Braylen Stepp added one assist for Bardstown.
Will Deopere scored the goal for Bethlehem, which fell to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in the district.
Eagles goalie Brady Matherly stopped seven of the nine shots he faced from Bardstown.
Bethlehem, which hosted region foe Central Hardin Saturday morning, plays at South Warren at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
North Hardin 2, Nelson County 0
The Trojans’ Miguel Garcia scored twice and goalie Cooper Gibson stopped all seven shots he faced from the homestanding Cardinals in Tuesday’s victory.

Danville 4, Thomas Nelson 0
The visiting Generals were held scoreless for the second game in a row in Tuesday’s loss to the Admirals.
Thomas Nelson goalie Jonathan Talbert stopped 15 of the 19 shots he faced from Danville.
The Generals are now 1-6 on the season. Thomas Nelson plays at Shelby County at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
GIRLS
Elizabethtown 3, Bethlehem 1
Rylee Prichard, Annabelle Garcia and Stella Johnson each scored once as the visiting Panthers (6-4) knocked off the Banshees (4-3) Wednesday night.
Grace Smith scored off an assist from Zoe Thurmond for Bethlehem, which had won two in a row.
Goalies Reonna Morgan and Madilyn Gendron combined for seven saves on the night.
The Banshees, who played in Knoxville, Tenn., over the weekend, play Campbellsville at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 5th Region All ‘A’ Classic championship game at Fort Knox.

The visiting Cardinals fell to 3-5 on the year with Thursday’s loss to the Dragons.
