The recent heat, humidity and unsettled weather has left just in time to give the Lehigh Valley a picture-perfect Labor Day weekend.
Dry, comfortable weather is expected through the holiday Monday and well into next week, according to the National Weather Service forecast.
With highs ranging from the upper 70s to low 80s, the weather service is forecasting “notably less humid” weather starting Saturday and continuing through next week.
There is a possibility of showers Saturday evening into Sunday along the New Jersey shore, but the weather service does not anticipate showers and storms in the Lehigh Valley until Thursday, when a cold front arrives.
On Labor Day, a high of 79 is expected with sunny skies and calm wind, according to the weather service forecast.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph.

Labor Day: Sunny, with a high near 79. Calm wind.
Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 70.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.
