PALMER TWP., Pa. – There could soon be a new spot to get coffee and breakfast in Chrin Commerce Centre near Route 33.
The Palmer Township Planning Commission is set to review a land development plan for a proposed Dunkin’ at 400 Trolley Lane Drive, near its intersection with Main Street. That’s on the 800-acre campus of Chrin Commerce Center, which spans Palmer Township and Tatamy Borough.
The property, which is in the “Chrin Southeast Quadrant Development,” was previously planned to be developed into a 325-seat sit-down restaurant. Now, the developer, Tatamy Crossings LLC, is proposing to instead use the space for an approximately 6,000-square-foot retail store and a roughly 2,000-square-foot Dunkin’.
The space is located in between an existing Sheetz convenience store and a WoodSpring Suites Hotel.
An engineering review of the application says the developer indicates that the proposed Dunkin’ and retail space will require less parking than the previously intended sit-down restaurant. The review also says the new plan includes a reduction in site impervious coverage from the previous design and does not intend to alter any stormwater management features that were previously installed at the site.
The Palmer Township Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, Sept.9 at 7 p.m. in the township municipal building at 3 Weller Place.
