Woman dies at hospital after crash on Pittsburgh highway

PITTSBURGH — A woman has died after a crash on I-279 on Friday night.

Channel 11 previously told you that multiple people were hurt in a crash on I-279 near the East Street Exit around 8 p.m. Friday.

One person involved in the crash later died at a hospital, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Officials identified the person as Sirey Ramos, 19. The cause of death was complications of blunt force injuries, and the manner of death was deemed an accident.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash.
