1 arrested in attempted stabbing in Duquesne Heights
PITTSBURGH —
A man has been charged with aggravated assault after an attempted stabbing in Duquesne Heights this morning.
According to the criminal complaint, police arrived at the 300 block of Sweetbriar Street at approximately 8:30 Sunday morning and found a man later identified as Charles Ross with blood on his hands and face.
A female on the scene was found with minor cuts on both arms after Ross allegedly swung a knife at the victim inside the house. Ross also swung the knife at another victim but missed.
According to public safety officials, Ross was believed to be under the influence of narcotics at the time of the incident.
He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail after he was medically cleared at the hospital.
The female victim was treated at the scene.
