SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Scranton City Police have identified the man who was fatally struck by a moving vehicle early Tuesday morning in Lackawanna County.
According to a release by Scranton City Police, the victim has been identified as 27-year-old Dion Leepier, who was taken to Geisinger Hospital after a vehicle hit him near the “Lookout” on State Route 0307 in Scranton.

Leepier was later pronounced dead at the hospital the same day, despite life-saving efforts.
Scranton Police have also identified the driver as 19-year-old Grace Rinaldi, who was taken into custody at the time of the incident under DUI suspicions.
An investigation into the crash has been conduced by Pennsylvania State Police Collisions Analysis and Reconstruction Specialist (CARS) Unit, and charges are pending upon completion of the investigation.
