As summer starts to wind down, one of Erie’s popular spots is heading into its final stretch of the season.
Waldameer and Water World is wrapping up the holiday weekend with strong crowds, so that means today and tomorrow are some of your last chances to get in some last-minute summer fun before the season is officially over.
Staff say the weather has made this summer “fair,” with August taking a hit from poor weather and the Canadian wildfires, leaving some weekends with fewer crowds.
And even though construction on the new lazy river went on all summer long, they say they’re always thankful for the community’s support, and they hope everyone enjoys the new addition as the season wraps up.
“our attendance was down a little bit this year, but we’re very positive and thankful for a good ending this weekend” Steve Gordan the President of Waldameer and Waterworld Park shared.
The park will be open tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
