This evening Erie News Now was given an official statement informing the public the park will re-open tomorrow morning
“DCNR and Presque Isle State Park officials will be opening the gates to Presque Isle State Park on Labor Day, September 7 at 8:00 AM.
Partial closings will be in effect at the Presque Isle Marina and Gas Dock, the Waterworks area near the Rotary Pavilion, the park’s shelters, as well as the interior hiking trails.
The Karl Boyes Multi-Purpose Recreational Trail will be open to park visitors.
Beaches 1, 6 (Lyons Beach), and 8 (Pettinato Beach) will be open and guarded for swimming from 10:00 AM until 5:45 PM.
The Tom Ridge Environmental Center and Erie Bluff’s State Park remain open to visitors for the holiday.
