A teenage girl is in custody after assaulting police in Scranton.
According to police, the 17-year-old ran from officers after they interrupted what they describe as an “armed violent encounter” along Taylor Avenue in Scranton.
The teen allegedly kicked, spit on, and head-butted officers.
Officers say she also tried to remove a gun inside of her waistband.
Police say she will be charged with several counts of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and related charges after the incident.
