Pro wrestler ‘The Butcher’ dies after collapsing during event near Pittsburgh
MILLVALE, Pa. —
Pro wrestler Andy Williams, known to fans as “The Butcher,” died at 48 after collapsing during a tag team event at Mr. Smalls Theater near Pittsburgh on Saturday.
The medical examiner is working to determine the cause of death.
Williams was celebrated for his dual careers in wrestling and heavy metal music, earning recognition from fans in both communities.
Corey Graves, a wrestler based in Pittsburgh who was close to Williams, shared his thoughts in a statement.
“He was a truly good guy that no one could say a bad word about,” Graves said.
He continued to share that Williams had an awesome presence and brought laughter to every room he was in.
