Pennsylvania American Water asks customers in Lancaster and Chester counties to reduce water usage
LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. —
Pennsylvania American Water is asking 23,000 customers in Lancaster and Chester counties to reduce their water usage by 10 to 15%.
In Lancaster County, the affected communities include Christiana and Quarryville boroughs, as well as Bart, Colerain, Eden, and Sadsbury townships.
Officials said the request is due to recent weather-related changes in local water sources, which have complicated the treatment process at its plant.
