Firefighters respond to smoky house fire on Tanglewood Drive
PINE TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
A house fire displaced a family in Pine Township, Allegheny County, on Monday morning.
Firefighters were called to the home on Tanglewood Drive around 10 a.m.

“When we rolled up, there was smoke inside the house. What we found was, in the second-floor bathroom, the fan was on fire, which extended into the attic,” Wexford Volunteer Fire Chief Jake Ballard said. “All the mutual aid companies and us quickly got on scene and extinguished the fire.”

The county fire marshal has been called to investigate.
Ballard said the American Red Cross is helping the family who was displaced.
