Nine ranked teams posted impressive wins in Week 2, resulting in no changes in The Times-Tribune High School Football Poll.

Those winning teams won by an average margin of 31.1 points, with the closest outcome being West Scranton’s 25-20 victory over Carbondale Area.

North Pocono remained the unanimous No. 1 team after a 35-6 win over Scranton in a Lackawanna Football Conference Division I game. The Trojans have held the top ranking in 13 straight polls.

This week, North Pocono hosts No. 8 Honesdale in a matchup of undefeated teams. Honesdale defeated East Stroudsburg North with a 50-point first-half outburst in a 50-7 win.

Teams ranked No. 2 through No. 5 were all unanimous.

Dunmore improved to 2-0 and is averaging 52.0 points a game. The Bucks are scheduled to play at Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon.

The next three ranked teams evened their records with wins in Week 2.

No. 3 Valley View powered past Crestwood, 19-6, bouncing back from a season-opening loss. The Cougars play at Wilkes-Barre Area on Friday.

Scranton Prep, ranked fourth, toppled Trinity, Camp Hill, 45-7. The Cavaliers face Fairfield Prep from Connecticut on Friday at Dunmore Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Fifth-ranked Abington Heights traveled to Florida and defeated Trinity Prep. The Comets play at undefeated Dallas on Friday.

No. 6 Delaware Valley was the only ranked team suffering a loss in the second week. The Warriors fell late against another strong District 11 team, Northampton, 28-24. On Friday, they host East Stroudsburg South, another District 11 opponent.

Lakeland, ranked seventh, used a good second half to pull away from Lake-Lehman, 42-22. This week, the Chiefs host Lackawanna Trail on Friday.

Riverside remained at No. 9 after a 42-0 win over Holy Cross. The Vikings are at Lake-Lehman on Friday.
