Pennsylvania state park swimming pool closed amid power outage

HANOVER, Pa. (WHTM) — A state park in Central Pennsylvania has closed its swimming pool and splash pad.

Earlier this morning, Codorus State Park in Hanover announced on Facebook that it has closed its swimming pool and splash pad due to a power outage on Labor Day.

No reason for the power outage was provided, and it is unknown when power will be restored.

According to an earlier announcement from Codorus State Park, the swimming pool was slated to officially close for the 2026 season on Tuesday, September 8.

Codorus State Park boasts 3,500 acres in southern York County, including the 1,275-acre Lake Marburg, which has 26 miles of shoreline.

The state park is known for offering picnicking, swimming, disc golf, camping, and other outdoor activities.
