St. Rose of Lima Church was the setting July 25, 2026, for the wedding of Elisa Caroline Piraino and Jacob William Epstein, both of Charlestown, R.I. The bride is the daughter of Jennifer and Antonio Piraino, Greenfield Twp. The bridegroom is the son of Catherine Gorrie and Richard Epstein, Rhode Island.
The Rev. Joseph Mosely officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.
Ava Piraino, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Caitlyn Epstein, sister of the bridegroom; Margaret Chesnick, Maria Good, Lauren Crinella; and Adelina Piraino, Rosina Piraino, Antonia Piraino, Taylor Grier and Juliana Grier, cousins of the bride. Elizabeth Gontkosky, Maria Gontkosky and Gia Grier, cousins of the bride, were junior bridesmaids. Rosalie Zamfino and Grace Lukasik, cousins of the bride, were flower girls.
Seth Mace was best man. Ushers were Nico Piraino, brother of the bride; Seth Barney and Tim Barney, cousins of the bridegroom; Mathew O’Neil, Paul Gonsalves, Robert Toth and Chase Bivona. James Ryczak, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.
A reception was held at the Scranton Cultural Center.
The bride earned a doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island and works as a clinical pharmacist at Brown University Hospital, Providence, Rhode Island.
The bridegroom earned a bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Rhode Island and works as a detective for the Newport Police Department, Newport, Rhode Island.
The couple met while studying at the University of Rhode Island in their beloved college beach bar, the Bonvue Inn.
The couple resides in Charlestown, Rhode Island.
