LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lower Merion Township residents are invited to weigh in on the possibility of a SEPTA shuttle service that would replace a bus route and connect several communities in the township.

A public survey is open now through Friday that will measure the feasibility of a shuttle service that would not only replace the expected loss of SEPTA Bus Route 44 connecting Penn Valley and Gladwyne but potentially connect those communities to Bryn Mawr, Haverford and Ardmore.

With the potential SEPTA service reductions, Lower Merion Township is partnering with GVF, a not-for-profit with over 35 years of transportation planning experience, to conduct an analysis of a public transportation alternative within the Township area in some proximity to where SEPTA’s bus route 44 currently operates.

One of the main goals of this survey is to gauge the interest in particular pick-up and drop-off locations for a potential shuttle near your neighborhood.
