Thomas F. Snyder
OBITUARY
Thomas F. Snyder, 77, of Scranton died Monday, September 7, 2026 at
Geisinger CMC. He is survived by his fiancée of 28 years, Francine
Hazelton.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Harold and Margaret
Cassidy Snyder. He attended West Scranton High School and he proudly
served in the United States Army where he served overseas in Vietnam.
Prior to retirement, he was employed by Topps Chewing Gum for 25
years and the Tobyhanna Army Depot for 15 years. He was an avid
fisherman and along with his brother Harold, enjoyed metal detecting.
Also surviving are sons Tommy and wife Traci, Mark and wife Jennifer,
Matthew and wife Renee, all of Scranton; grandchildren Matthew and
wife Rebekah, Mia and husband Ish, Madison and husband Ryan,
Tommy, Jade, Raven, Mark, and Max; great-grandson Colton; brothers
Harold and John; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sister Alice Pensak.
Funeral services and Military Honors will be held Friday at 7 PM in the
Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
Family and friends may pay their respects Friday from 5 PM until time
of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
Disabled American Veterans, www.dav.org.
